If Belladonna Was My Lover is inspired by Belladonna of Sadness, a 1970s Japanese film. A peasant woman is raped by the local lord on her wedding night. To take revenge, she makes a pact with the Devil himself, who appears as an erotic phallus and transforms her into a black-robed vision of madness and desire.

This zine focuses on reimagining the experience of Belladonna in a queer feminine relationship. Reclaims a depiction of a love story in a queer embrace of love and desire in its purest intimate form. The zine is printed in a 2-color risograph and hand bound with yarn.
